Captains v Vice Captains 9 hole Texas Scramble
We had the above competition on 4 September with 8 teams playing, 4 captains, 4 vice. It was a great afternoon with lovely weather which I think was quite unexpected. Sair Heids
A great day was had by all who entered the delayed Sair Heids competition on Monday. 29 players took part with a top form Robert Stewart winning both first prize and nearest the pin at the first. The total raised after prizes was £430 and our thanks go to Andy and Dotty for organising everything and providing the tasty stovies and thanks to all who donated prizes which were very much appreciated.
The Jimmy Renton Quaich
Greenkeeper 1970-92
There was a good turnout on Saturday 9th April to compete in the Texas Scramble for the Jimmy Renton Quaich. 80 members took part and although the weather was chilly a good time was had by all. We were pleased to welcome Mary Renton and Mary Lou Watkins to the clubhouse during the afternoon to watch the trophy being played for.
There were some excellent scores with the winners being Stuart Elms, Law Hardie, Dawn Hardie and Kathleen Blackie who returned a score of nett 55.
The rescheduled 2021 Prize Giving
The delayed 2021 prize giving was held the 3rd April 2022 when proceedings started with an All Categories Medal and the awarding of prizes at 18:00.
Many thanks to Kathleen Blackie who took the attached photographs of the Prize winners and their trophies and thanks also to Gavin for collecting, polishing and engraving these during these preceding weeks.
